Hillary Clinton |
They've cranked up the Clinton machine, and some say it could do with a little oiling.
Hillary Clinton is a political chameleon, with the ability to change sides, change positions and revise statements to fit the moment that benefits her political objectives.
On the other hand, her husband and impeached partner devised a system that sent more blacks to prison than under any other administration. And to think he proudly responds to being called the "first black president".

Somewhere along the way she morphed into the wicked witch of the West and not the warm, caring person many thought her to be.
Pundits believe her evolution in politics is a product of her husband, Bill Clinton's regular philandering.
When Hillary turned the unlikable corner is secondary. The real concern is whether she was always a ruthless person who would do and say anything to achieve her objectives...or if she's merely a woman scorned--turned ruthless as a means of coping with spousal rejection.

It's painfully obvious that president Obama is a hard act to follow. He is the most intellectual, savvy, suave and thoughtful leader the globe has known in decades--not to mention he's a genius, in terms of expanding his party.
Nonetheless, the common theme is "this president has ruined the country". Perhaps those repeating this superficial phrase believe voters are stupid.
Mitch McConnell, an embarrassment to American government, a bag of wind currently taking up valuable space on the Senate, made no apology for publically proclaiming, "the single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term President."
Um...that was an obvious waste of time and tax-payer dollars. Now that citizens have seen the real threat to the country's livelihood, it's time to replace all the repubs who lived high on the people's tax dollars, but did nothing to help the people they fleeced.
For seven years, McConnell led the charge of blocking every action the president wanted to take to improve the country, which was reeling under criminal acts committed under Bush and Cheney's reign of tyranny.
Then he and his cronies blamed the president for not getting things done. And as if that wasn't enough, they found the nerve to criticize the president for using executive authority to achieve some things anyway, despite their attempt to obstruct.
...and the rest of the world ate popcorn while they watched the pathetic show.
The Clinton Machine
Bill and Hillary were the president's fiercest competitors, as they were the first to inject race into the 2008 run for president. "We have to take our country back" is a phrase considered racist when republicans say it.
However, those who closely followed the 2008 presidential election know that Hillary used the phrase liberally against the Bush and Cheney rule. And she subliminally used it in reference to then Barak Obama, who handily won against her for the presidential bid.
The Clinton machine has a reputation of practicing brutal, fabricated and intense politics. We have to acquiesce at least on the basis of what the Clinton's did in South Carolina, using a desperate round of racial epithets against president Obama.
We saw evidence of this when they sent Chelsea to campaign against Bernie Sanders, and she literally lied about his record and intentions on health care. And Hillary says she's for the children.
Really, Clintons?
Let's be clear here. No one wants Donald Trump or Ted Cruz as their president. However, given a choice against the Cliintons, Bernie is the pick. Barring some mystical shift in events, he'll never sit behind the desk in the Oval Office.
Realistically, Hillary was coronated before the primaries began. Bernie and O'Mally walked into a setup. On the other hand, she couldn't run against herself, so...
Thinking Ahead and Supposing Hillary Wins
Suppose Hillary wins the Whitehouse. Is there a bombshell inside her emails that will have her impeached? What would a Hillary presidency look like? Would American citizens have to watch another round of republican obstruction? Or would McConnell's blood stop boiling when blacks leave the building, and Congress would work to earn their keep for a change?
Will Hillary become a 'hawk' and try to make a name for herself as the first female president AND the one to subdue ISIS?
Can Hillary keep all those lofty promises she's making, moving further and further to the left of Bernie, hoping to woo his youth supporters?
Should she build a holding cell for Bill beneath the main floor? Should she ban him from having female contact? The answer is no. Whatever juice he owned in the 90's has long since dried up. But...you never know. Since "sex with that woman" wasn't his thing to begin with...maybe she should muzzle him instead.
Anyway...as stated earlier, president Obama is a hard act to follow. Perhaps being a female takes the edge off his successor. We shall see.
Meanwhile, the Clinton machine is ginned up, smoking, sputtering and making noise.
